Artist Statement/Bio
As an artist, I currently create paintings from an emotional perspective and like to capture and include every detail whether from a realistic or surrealist point of view. I don’t have that ‘one’ focus in my paintings as I basically paint whatever moves me at the moment. The painting of ‘Eyes’ however are of particular interest as they are the ‘windows of the soul’. My belief is that ‘Expressions of Art Releases the Spirit and Frees the Soul’. My family matters most and is my inspiration! Jacqueline Wesson – one of 10 siblings was born, raised, and continues to reside in southern New England with her husband and two adult children and their families. Jacqueline’s passion for art has been life long – fostered initially by her own mother’s great appreciation of the arts. Jacqueline has always been involved in some form of art while traversing life’s journey – whether it be drawing, painting, writing poetry, photography, pottery, interior design, fashion/makeup, music, sewing, embroidery, etc… Primarily a self-taught artist, she has taken several art classes throughout her lifetime and most recently focused on fine art oil paintings. She is a member of the Wickford Art Association. |
